It’s amazing the changes a painting can go through as it moves from start to finish. I’ve been working on this painting for a few weeks, and I feel I’m at the midway point. What will the end be? I like to think I know, but I’ll probably be surprised.
Great seeing the progression like this. And by documenting it you’re saving all those future art historians the trouble of x-raying. They’ll thank you. Although they’ll probably still argue over the “why.”

Thanks Cath. In many ways each layer will be there inviting the eye in, and hopefully what at first is a simple image will be a little more mysterious.
