I was sorting through stuff in my studio and I found this painting from a few years back. It is a watercolour on paper, and is an experiment that was a lot of fun to do. I traced two cardboard forms to give the painting it’s general structure. I painted fairly wet and started throwing paint around. I was still trying to find a direction in abstraction, and at the time I was fairly happy with the result. I set it aside in the keep pile. Cleaning up a studio can be a challenge. I have so much stuff, and some of it has to go, but it takes a long time to go through things when everything has a memory attached.
