More experiments with dots. This sheet has been heavily worked, and is built out of three layers of different papers. The top layer is a sheet of tengucho which is a thin, tissue like Japanese paper. The very bottom layer is a regular artist paper with collage elements. There is also pencil, ink pen, pastel and acrylic medium. The top layer contain gouache.
very nice – it would translate well into a fabric print.

Thank you. It does have a nice ordered quality that reminds me of fabric too.

has such a light quality for something so heavily worked. It reminds me of cherry blossoms….

As it built up it became lighter, and it does seem very much like blossoms.

It’s good to see some work with this ‘simpler’ underlying structure…though as I write it I’m wondering whether that’s true… after all there looks to be plenty going on in there but the outcome has a lightness and delicacy that is very rich.
