This month I’m going to shake things up a bit with my daily studio photograph. I’m taking photographs of some of the treasures and junk in my studio. To make it more interesting I’m going to include a simple poll. Are the objects in the photo treasure or junk?

When it comes to colour theory I tend to stick to the simple principal of working with what I know and like. Brown tones are colours I use very rarely, and I’m always surprised when I do work with this colour. It can be such a rich vibrant colour, and at the ame time so many negative words are associated with it. Dirty, muddy, muck, are a few that come to mind. At the same time positive words such as earth, nature, and growth can be associated with brown. I guess I’ll always be surprised by the beauty of brown.
