Alyson khan.

I’ve been receiving a lot of great things in the mail recently, and I really enjoy getting mail that isn’t a bill or junk mail.

A couple of weeks ago I arranged a trade with fellow artist and blogger Alyson Khan. We looked through images on each others blogs and found something we liked and traded paintings. I had a very hard job making up my mind because Alyson has so many great works so it took me a few days to decide what I wanted. So I was very happy to check my mail and find a package, and though I knew what was in it I was very excited to rip the paper off and see the painting. It’s wonderful, and I now have a cool, beautiful piece of art for my collection. When I look at it I can’t help being reminded of cool jazz from the 50’s and early 60’s. It sings!

For the first time in days there is bright light coming into my studio. I decided to take the opportunity to experiment with reflecting light of a mirror, and though I almost blinded myself in the process I was pleased with the results. Note to self…don’t do this again.
