Well, I read it as Rembrandt’s Eyes by Simon Schama – is it any good? I like his history of Britain.

I thought it was very good. There is a great section on Rubens that is a book on its own.

Depends if Simon Schama is “on” or self-aggrandizing…he can be quite fabulous or fabulously awful.

I really enjoyed the book. But I’m a Schama fan… even when he goes over the top.
