If ever a painting will stick out like a sore thumb in the Long Series this is the one. If I write up a list of rules for my project one of them will be to allow the bad or odd ones to exist. I like the parts of this painting, but I don’t think it works as a whole.
Disagree. Think it does work as a whole. Just different. Reminds me a little of the Senecio painting by Paul Klee but is much more modern.

It just seems very figural compared to the rest. In a fit of cynicism I’d say it’s a politician, doing the usual “double-talk”. However, overall it seems much too bright and cheerful for that!

I gave it an ‘Excellent’. Sometimes, it’s hard to judge your own work! Let those lines flow!

I like it for itself but it also hangs in there with the series because of the recurring motifs. Not a sore thumb in sight!

You never know how this painting will affect your future paintings. The seed is planted.

This looks like a sculpture in the foreground… It has more depth than usual. Yes, keep it! The seed is planted — exactly.

I think the fact that it doesn’t work means it really really does! There’s something intriguingly uncomfortable about it i think..
