Have you met…Inga Dalrymple?

Introductions can be wonderful things. You can meet interesting people, and make new friends through an introduction. Sometimes you can be introduced to your new favorite food, television show, or artist. I’d like to introduce you to some of my favorite artists.

The artist I’d like to introduce is the Australian painter Inga Dalrymple.

Biography

Studied at National Art School, Sydney.

A studio based abstract artist, Inga’s work encompasses the disciplines of painting and drawing. Inga principally investigates sensory memory; setting up situations in which she can respond quickly and spontaneously, drawing heavily on the fleeting impressions and images she absorbs as she travels through interior, natural and urban spaces. A natural colourist, her work is the result of an intuitive practice in which the medium of paint – its infinite ability to be pushed and extended – is her central focus.
