An introduction can be a wonderful thing. You can meet interesting people, and make new friends. You can be introduced to your new favorite foods, books, music, or artist.

I’d like to introduce you to some of my favorite artists. Some of whom I’ve been familiar with for years, and others I’ve only recently been introduced to.

The person I’d like to introduce is the artist Rene R. Kuipers.

“A piece is not satisfactory until it is fully tectonic. Since the object is not just the object but also its installational context, a representation of an object is needed to define the exact framework of that object and the limits of its context. As with the map–territory relation the description is not the described but a new object on itself; it’s an abstraction derived from the initial object. The description is added to the context of the object. Thus I examine the point where painting becomes sculpture.” RK
