This painting ended up being far from what my original intentions were. I was planning a monochrome painting, but these funny little organic shapes worked their way in.
It is painted on a sheet that I built out of strips of mat board and tracing papers. It is like most of my work in that it could easily have been painted on a traditional sheet of art paper, but for me I like the character of odd, clumsy, rough, and seemingly unnecessary surfaces.
