An introduction can be a wonderful thing. You can meet interesting people, and make new friends. You can be introduced to your new favorite foods, books, music, or artist. I’d like to introduce you to some of my favorite artists. Some of whom I’ve been familiar with for years, and others I’ve only recently been introduced to. The person I’d like to introduce is the artist Tamara N. Vuksa.
Tamara Nedeljkovic Vuksa Graduated from University of Arts, Faculty of Applied Arts in 2002, Belgrade, Serbia. 13 solo exhibitions (Serbia, Montenegro, Japan, Israel). More then 130 group exhibitions, symposiums and workshops (Serbia, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia, Albania, Germany, Spain, USA, China, Japan). 9 awards in field of visual art.
review text from the exhibition catalog: “……….The poetic perception that is visible in reality and is imaginatively conceived on Tamara’s exhibited paper works revels a special freedom of imagined possibilities that almost reach sacrality by a kind of spiritual purity where the visuality of these works simultaneously points to sonic lyricism (as in Corelli’s music), a poetic recitative (as in the poetry of Torquato Tasso) as well as a visual/lyrical atmosphere (as in the paintings of Modigliani). The poetic perception is one of the oldest and most profound ways of expressing meaning besides the mythical and religious one. In that sense, Tamara’s personal sensitivity combines the realistic and the imaginary in numerous ways in order to emphasize the poetic perception in the final result which gives her most freedom to express her subtle poetics through the visual form. It is an art which expresses the joy of life and brought close to the human ambient create a need to be looked at…….” Kosta Bogdanovic, art historian
