I recently had the pleasure of completing another trade, and this time with Monica Lacey of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. I’m starting to put a nice little collection together.
Here’s the one I traded.

Another happy art trade. With David Manley.
I recently completed an exciting art trade with my friend David Manley. It’s one of his From The Earth Wealth series of paintings.
Over the years I’ve put together a small collection of artwork, and I’m just realizing that our house is in need of a serious rehang. Of course some of our rooms are in need of a serious repainting so maybe I should get on that band wagon first , and maybe I should start with the living room.
Lets Make A Deal. Long Series #510.
Every now and then I like to trade with other artists.
Over the years I’ve put together a nice little collection, and many paintings are on my walls. Each year we rehang our collection, and it’s interesting to see how our taste and interests have changed. Most of the work we have is figurative or abstract, and lately I’ve been more interested in abstract or nonobjective art . We only have a couple landscapes, and a few paintings of flowers, and I really have lost interest in the landscape. Most of the work that we have is of modest scale, but we have works in many different media.
I would like to trade this painting for something of a similar scale. It’s a mixed media on paper 12×12 inches, and it’s an early piece from my Long Series (#115) of paintings. So would you like to make a trade? If so leave a comment and we’ll talk.
Trade routes.
The other day I bought a map, and I’ve begun a project of recording the names and locations of artists with whom I’ve made art trades over the years. I’m thinking that this will become an art piece, an archive that can eventually be exhibited. Luckily I’ve managed to keep records of these activities, and hopefully one day the map will become an interesting object in itself.
Lets Make A Trade (completed). Long Series #130.
A few weeks ago I offered to trade a painting for another artist’s work. I was so happy with the results I decided to make another trade. I was glad to have another successful trade, and this painting is off to the UK to the artist David Manley.

This is #130 from my Long Series, and it is 12×12 inches mixed media on paper. I would like to trade it for a work of roughly similar size, but I am open to interesting offers. Would you like to trade?
