From The Earth Wealth #19
I recently completed an exciting art trade with my friend David Manley. It’s one of his From The Earth Wealth series of paintings.
Over the years I’ve put together a small collection of artwork, and I’m just realizing that our house is in need of a serious rehang. Of course some of our rooms are in need of a serious repainting so maybe I should get on that band wagon first , and maybe I should start with the living room.
Introductions can be wonderful things. You can meet interesting people, and make new friends through an introduction. Sometimes you can be introduced to your new favorite food, television show, or artist. I’d like to introduce you to some of my favorite artists.
The artist I’d like to introduce you to is David Manley.
Loopa
David Manley is based in Derby, East Midlands
Painter and Photographer with an interest in the interface between the two in this digital age. His work is an examination of the landscape tradition albeit framed in a contemporary context. He works across both traditional and contemporary media. In addition to his practice he undertakes a range of consultancy, journalism, educational and curatorial work.
