Painting Away December.

December is here and I’ve been using a lot of masking tape. I like the masking technique because it offers a strange sense of control and surprise at the same time. I get to pick the areas to mask, but I never really know how it’s going to look until I pull away the tape. Mistakes happen, and I like the mistakes. I like how paint sometimes bleeds under the tape, and I like when some of the surface is pulled ways as I lift the tape, and I like the crisp clean lines that occur.
Studio Goings On. November 18, 2011.
November has been a great month, both weather wise, and work wise. I’m continuing to wrap up my year by finish paintings that are in various stages of completion. When the new year comes I want to start fresh, and concentrate on one big project. Here’s a slideshow from my studio.
