I’ve hit the 1300 mark. In 2009 I set out to do a series of 100, 12×12 inch paintings and it has grown from there. Working on a series like this is hard to describe. Is the work about the exploration of an artistic process, or is it an exploration of obsession? Each piece can stand on its own, and each piece is part of the project as a whole. I’ve shown the work as stand alone paintings, and as an installation. One thing I haven’t done yet is set my thoughts about the project down as an essay, and that is something I should work on.
