What is your favourite type of art book? Do you enjoy reading artist biographies, exhibition catalogs, critical theory, or something else? What would you recommend?
Hi Stephen
Thanks for liking some posts on my blog. I’ve spent quite awhile looking through your blog. I’m very impressed with your long series and I love your daily discussion of your art practice.
Take care

Theme, history, overview, point of view books. If you’re interested in sculpture (in the broadest sense), the environment, and how artists can make a difference, check out “The New Earthwork”. http://sculpture.gostorego.com/new-earth-works.html
Do you have a list of biographies? One of my favorites was The Legacy of Mark Rothko all about his relationship with Marlborough Gallery that hoarded his paintings off shore for tax purposes, at sea for years after his death. His daughter finally got them after going to court. Joan Mitchell, Lady Painter.Anne Truitt DayBook
Lately, I’m not reading any art books at all. I’m spending that time online looking at current artists for my ‘Artist of the Day’. http://destructivetesting.wordpress.com/category/artist-of-the-day

I’ve heard about the Rothko one. I’ll have to get it. Sounds really interesting.
