I love the way you manage to bring together the strong simple colour relationships with the subtlety of the grounds. I guess this is the lengthy gestation of some of the papers used. And I’m also very impressed with the rapidity of your responses to postings! By my reckoning it can only be around 7 on PEI?!
Thanks David. I always appreciate your comments, and yes I’m usually up early in the morning. I like to start my day with a coffee and a quick check to see what is going on in the world.
Just beautiful..there is something of a light birds wing in there for some reason to me..and those colours are truly lovely – I don’t know how you do this every day so consistently brilliantly!!
Rothco-esque, I do like this Stephen.

Oh and yes this painting has been in my work pile for awhile. I built up the ground with bits of other papers, glues, gesso, and acrylic.

a very dynamic piece. I enjoy the contrast of color and form, and movement/stillness from one side to the other of the canvas.
